Jose Luis Medina is a distinguished Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated with outstanding credentials from Miami Regional University. Originally from Venezuela, he studied medicine at the University of Monterrey, Nuevo León. Upon returning to his native country, he homologated his studies, obtaining his medical degree from the University del Zulia in 1991.
With a solid academic background, he joined his country’s armed forces, working in the Fluvial Command and at the Military Hospital Tte. Cnel.” César Andrés Bello D’scriban” in Ciudad Bolívar. During this time, he gained valuable experience in various medical fields.
His professional journey includes training in the surgery department of Hospital Ruiz y Páez, also in Ciudad Bolívar. Subsequently, he got certified in Health Services Administration and founded and directed his clinic, Grupo Médico Quirúrgico “Los Guaritos,” where he practiced as a primary care physician and medical director for over 20 years.
In 2020, he decided to move to the United States, looking for new opportunities. In 2021, he became certified as a Medical Assistant, but it was not until 2022 that he became a registered nurse to continue his studies, obtaining a Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner.
