When Tiffany Haddish took the stage yesterday at the inaugural EMFEST by BTL Aesthetics in Huntington Beach, CA, I was struck by her deep connection to nature and overall well-being.
of girls trip The star shared that growing a 200-square-foot garden acts as her anchor and contributes to her youthful glow. “I’m old and wise, but I look young because I eat food from my garden,” she jokingly told the audience.
Haddish exuded an elegant aura with perfectly styled blonde hair and glowing skin. In the wake of her presence, the audience asked questions about her skin care regimen. To my surprise, the answer was simple.
“I use soap and water,” she said, noting that the particular soap she uses is the pure spearmint turpentine soap she ordered on Amazon. “It kills bacteria and parasites. I may not wash it.”
In a candid conversation with Haddish, we delve even deeper into her perspective on office therapy, grounding practices, and her graceful approach to aging in the spotlight. I had the opportunity.
When you shaved your head for the first time, you said you felt more alive than ever. What lesson did it teach you? Has your view of beauty changed?
I certainly have a different view of beauty. Beauty is determined by how you feel. It is said that beauty is on the inside and whatever is happening on the inside shows on the outside. It’s really about how I feel about myself and how my insides feel.
There are people who are really gorgeous to the naked eye, and when we see them, we think they are absolutely gorgeous. But when you start talking to them, they start getting uglier and uglier. Every word they say, everything they do makes them even more terrifying. right? And some people are fucking ugly to the naked eye. You’ll think, “Oh my God, this guy is terrible.” and they started talking. And you’ll think, “Oh my God, this person is a beautiful human being.” You don’t know anything until you meet someone. So for me it’s what’s going on inside, what’s going on in my mind, what’s going on in my mind.
And you can’t say you’ve lived until you experience water dripping onto your scalp while your hair isn’t clogged. I think every woman should at least once in her life take off all her hair and try what it feels like to have rain on her hair. Very free. I think everyone should know what that feels like. Men can experience it whenever they feel like it and no one looks down on them for cutting their hair.
Please tell us about your relationship with EMSCULPT.
I love all EM products. I love Mscalp, Mface, and Msera. You know what I love most about the EMSELLA machine? Doing all these Kegel exercises and more should get you toned. But for me, after a long drive or two hours on stage, I would sometimes have to pee. And I wear these panty liners and sometimes pee a little bit. [Laughs.] But what I’m doing now is [EMSELLA], No problem to have. It’s not a must have, but it’s perfectly fine. And my lover I’m dealing with, he really enjoys it, and so do I. [Laughs.]
However, if you use emsculpt, your abdominal muscles will stand out. i love it all. We are building on the training we already have.
On stage, you talked about how your body has changed over time. How have you dealt with being a woman and aging in the public eye?
Even though I’ve been doing stand-up activities since 1997, I feel like I’ve gotten a lot more attention as I’ve gotten older. I don’t think anyone noticed until I started gaining weight. [Laughs.] At least I feel like nobody noticed me until I started gaining weight. And I was so used to being small all this time that I felt very uncomfortable with that. And I wasn’t worried about what people were thinking, I was worried, ‘Can I carry this around? Will I be strong enough to carry this newfound weight? ’ And not just the weight of my body, but the weight of my heart, the weight of my career, the weight of my family, now weighs more on me than ever before. So there are many things.
After all, I enjoy every day. Every day I am getting better and better. Even in my worst times, I am on my way to my best. You may fall and you may make mistakes. I have never met a baby who could crawl one day and run or walk without falling at least once or twice. they always fall. We all fall all the time. It’s part of being human.
Your body is changing every day. Every day you become a different person. You just have to be aware of it and hug and love that person who is here on that day. So when I look in the mirror every day, my appearance changes little by little. So I say, “I still love and approve of Tiffany Haddish. You’re still that little girl. I look at that little girl and I love her. And I I love your old ass, and I love you middle-aged and teenage, all of you who live in that little “me” suit. “
How do you keep your feet on the ground?
I read your comment. i hate them But I read them. It amuses me. And it keeps me grounded. My family also keeps me grounded. But I think it helps to actually be grounded, such as when the yard gets dirty. I now have dirt under my fingernails. This morning I was in the garden picking mint and making tea. Only being in nature keeps me grounded in reality. After all, trees don’t see me the same way, and neither do these birds see me the same way. They don’t care if I’m famous. These animals, the grass, the food I grow, none of them care if I’m on TV. And I appreciate it. And they live just like me.
You said you look younger because you eat what you have in your garden. Do you have any other tips for keeping a youthful look?
I laugh every day too. It helps. But let me tell you, I’ve had about 5 EMFACE treatments and I think they’ve worked pretty well. But it also made me take care of my skin. The skin is the largest organ. Stay hydrated and protect with a good sunscreen. More than just a sunscreen, it’s the right sunscreen for me. I realized that what I wear isn’t just about expressing my personality. Clothing also protects you. We must protect our skin. It’s important. It is our largest organ, the most absorbing and most detoxifying organ. You can pee and poop all day long, but it won’t detox like your skin.
Do you have a favorite sunscreen?
i have two Tatcha has this sunscreen that I love. very very good It’s not heavy and doesn’t look ghostly. And black girl sunscreen. it’s lovely No one wants to feel like an oily ghost.
It’s funny because when you look at sunscreen under UV light, it looks like mud. If you think about it, you actually have melanin attached to your skin. So if you add melanin to your skin, make sure it looks your color. Everyone should see their true colors.
