For the past month, I’ve been running my skin through the wringer. I usually keep my face out of the sun, especially during the summer, but I once fell asleep on a lounge chair outside while on vacation and woke up with a terrible sunburn. I have just returned from a 3 week trip to Europe. I expected my skin to look damaged and dull, but it’s actually quite refreshing. this is, Josie Maran Triple Hydroxy Resurfacing Liquid ($72).
During my travels, I used an exfoliating skin care product twice a week. It has saved me from experiencing all the typical breakouts and uneven skin texture that are common when traveling. (I took a short break after sunburn to let the tan heal.) In fact, my skin looks more radiant and rejuvenated, and it’s all thanks to this new skin treatment from Josie Maran. . Works like a home peel, easy to use and worth the price in my opinion. If you want to know more about the product and my experience with it, keep reading my full review.

What I Like About Josie Maran Triple Hydroxy Resurfacing Liquid
Just by looking at the before and after photos above, taken three weeks apart, you can see the difference in the world. After the tan started to fade, there was no residual damage. In fact, my skin looked brighter and more even-toned. I can still see my freckles peeking out (I love this one), but my face felt smoother than ever.
I also appreciate that it doesn’t irritate or make my skin feel sensitive. It has almost no scent (because it does not use synthetic fragrances, it is derived from ingredients), and it spreads smoothly when rolled with cotton. However, the best part is the feel on the skin. I still have a light texture around my nose, but overall my skin looks and feels much better.
How to use Josie Maran Triple Hydroxy Resurfacing Liquid
Josie Maran’s Triple Hydroxy Resurfacing Liquid is easy to use. The brand suggests soaking a cotton pad with this product and gently wiping it onto a dry face and neck, so I do just that. Let the product soak for 2 minutes, then use your favorite moisturizer. For me at the moment Matter of Fact Minimalist Moisturizing Moisturizer ($68).
Although it is a skin-friendly product, it is recommended to gradually incorporate it into your skin care routine, starting with once or twice a week and increasing the number of times. I have rather sensitive skin so I used it sparingly and only used it twice a week.
Things to Consider Before Trying Josie Maran Triple Hydroxy Resurfacing Liquid
Please note that this product contains alpha hydroxy acids which may make your skin more sensitive to the sun. That’s why it’s important to apply another layer of sunscreen in the morning (which you should apply every day anyway). Otherwise, if you have any concerns about your skin texture, or just want to lighten hyperpigmented spots, I recommend trying Josie Maran’s Triple Hydroxy Resurfacing Liquid. After using it for a month, I am very satisfied. I can only imagine how much better my skin will look after a few months.
Is Josie Maran Triple Hydroxy Resurfacing Liquid worth the splurge?
At $72, this product isn’t cheap, but I think it’s worth every penny. A small amount of liquid is very effective, and 1.7 fl oz should last you for months, especially if you only use it a few times a week.
