Skincare experts have revealed the three most common mistakes people in their 20s make.
The dermatologist says she wishes she had known about these skincare mistakes in her 20s, claiming they can age like a wrinkled raisin.
Dr. Shereen Idris shared common mistakes in a TikTok video online.
she said: “I’m a 39-year-old board-certified dermatologist, and here are the top three things I wish I had known in my 20s.”
According to Shereen, the first mistake most people in their 20s make is not wearing sunscreen every day.
Shereen said: “The first thing about sun damage is reality. You may not see it today, you may not see it tomorrow, but the reason I went into dermatology is because one day you will be able to see it and I want you to know. This is because there is no need to persuade others.”
“But you have to live your whole life until it shows up in the form of sun spots, wrinkles, fine lines, cancer, etc. So what can you do?”
She answered: “Where’s the crappy sunscreen? Wearing crappy sunscreen will save you a ton of headaches and money on future cosmetic surgery.”
“After brushing my teeth, I get used to dabbing it on my face, and it’s hard to stop.”
According to skin experts, the next mistake people make is not washing their face before bed.
she said: “I don’t care how much you’re wasting your time. It’s Friday night, so wash your face before you go to bed. If you leave your makeup and day’s fatigue on your skin overnight, it will fade over time. Use a cleanser to remove your makeup, as it will only dull your complexion.”
She added: “If you want to age like a plum rather than a raisin, wash your face at night.”

The last mistake people make, Sherry says, is using too many skin care products at once.
Shereen said: “Stressing out your skin care routine and trying to use every product under the sun can be just as bad as neglecting your skin.”
Shereen asserted, “Over-exfoliating the face and using too many active ingredients can trigger an inflammatory response and lead to premature collagen breakdown at a young age.”
“If you overdo your skincare when you don’t need to, you’re more likely to age faster after all. Life is all about balance, and don’t do anything you can’t do in moderation.”
The skin care pro’s video has been viewed more than 106,000 times online.
One user said: “I’m going to wash my face now. Thank you sir.”
Another said: “The damage caused by sunburn is really bad!!” I wish I had taken sun protection earlier. ”
“Damn, I’m 38 years old and I’ve had so many failures, it’s so bad,” said a third man.
