If you saw *that* photo of Gisele Bundchen coming out of the gym with a shredded arm in mid-September and wondered how she’s been training these days, you’re not alone.
The 43-year-old Gaia Herbs ambassador is known for practicing yoga and jiu-jitsu, but she’s also been incorporating new types of movement recently.
“Our bodies are our temples, our homes, our given places. We get to experience this amazing planet.”
Gisele has a huge appreciation for her body after going through a rough patch due to unhealthy habits in her early 20s. She woke up every morning, smoked two cigarettes, drank a Mocha Frappuccino, and when she couldn’t sleep, she ended the day with a glass of red wine. As a result, her adrenal glands shut down, Gisele explained during a panel discussion.
Fortunately, she was able to change her diet, quit smoking, and incorporate exercise such as jogging and morning breathing exercises. So when it comes to living her life to the fullest, Gisele may be said to be an expert.
women’s health We sat down with the supermodel to hear all the highlights of her workout routine. Learn how Gisele fits movement into her busy schedule and the new workout she’s started.
Gisele begins and ends her day with physical activity.
“Moving is just part of my everyday life,” she says W.H.. Every morning, Gisele wakes up at 5am to meditate and then goes for a light jog with her dog, as she also needs some exercise. The jogging distance is usually about 3 miles. After that, she also does her morning workout and sometimes does yoga.
At night, Gisele walks her dog again. She loves going for walks after dinner because it helps her sleep. Spending time with her dog is one of Gisele’s non-negotiables. Rain or shine, the two act together. “Walking is underrated,” she says W.H.. “It’s great for me and great for him.”
She is a longtime yoga and jiu-jitsu enthusiast.
Gisele has been practicing yoga and breathing exercises since her early 20s, a habit she put into practice in response to health warnings.
Since starting these habits, “everything has changed,” she said during the panel discussion. She says, “I have a better life.” Of course, Gisele is also passionate about jiu-jitsu, a martial art based on self-defense. She practices it three times a week.
But she also prioritizes recovery. “I’m very focused and work hard, so the rest is very important,” Gisele says.
Gisele recently started lifting weights.
Over the past year, it seems like the entire fitness industry has been talking about the importance of strength training, and Gisele is no exception. She’s been doing yoga since her 20s, but she added weights to it a few months ago.
These days, Gisele strength trains three days a week. “It helps make you stronger,” she says.
Most of the time, she prefers to lift weights under 10 pounds and increase her reps. But sometimes she lifts her 25 pounds and does fewer reps.

she likes exercising outdoors.
In addition to strength training, yoga, and jiu-jitsu, Gisele also enjoys paddleboarding and kayaking during the week.
“I always want to make sure I’m doing something in nature every day,” she says. She also likes to think of herself as an adventurer, and she also enjoys horseback riding, surfing, and skydiving.
On busy days, she stretches for five minutes.
Even Gisele is overbooked due to back-to-back Zoom meetings. So she sets an alarm on her phone for every hour so she can stretch for five minutes. During her short breaks, she loves to do downward dog and sun salutations. “Otherwise, she gets stiff,” she says.
Well, it looks like Gisele is good at keeping her body moving no matter how busy her day is. She is still discovering different types of exercises that she enjoys and improves herself, which can definitely be a motivation for all of us. I can’t wait to see what she does next.
