Jamil Hoop, 42, of Riverhead, was arrested last Thursday and charged with driving under the influence, unlawful flight from police, false impersonation and second-degree criminal possession of a loaded firearm, police said. .
According to police, the incident occurred at Doctor’s Pass.
• Jamal Langhorne, age and address unknown, was charged Saturday in John Wesley Village with fifth-degree possession of stolen property and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
• A 68-year-old man was struck by a car in the Planet Fitness parking lot Friday and died the next day, according to Riverhead Town Police Chief David Hegermiller.
According to police, at approximately 9:29 a.m. Friday, patrol officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian in the Planet Fitness parking lot.
Police said the vehicle, a 2017 Honda Ridgeline driven by a 52-year-old woman, struck a male pedestrian, identified as Ryan Farek of Aqueborg. Police did not identify the woman. She was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center, treated and released, police said.
Mr. Farek was taken to PBMC, where he was treated for his injuries and then transported to South Shore Hospital in Bayshore for further treatment. He died at the hospital, Chief Hegermiller said.
The Riverhead Detective Division and the New York State Police Forensic Investigation Unit were called to the scene to assist in the investigation.
Police said there is no suspicion of criminality in the incident, but they are continuing to investigate. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has further information regarding the investigation is asked to call 631-727-4500.
• A Riverhead woman was arrested last Wednesday for allegedly breaking down the door of the Riverhead Free Library on April 19, according to Riverhead police.
According to police, when police responded to the library on the same day, they found the front door glass had been broken.
On September 6, police arrested Britney McGowan and charged her with third-degree criminal mischief after it was discovered that she had broken the glass, police said. .
• Someone stole more than $1,000 worth of sunglasses from Sunglass Hut at Tanger Outlets on West Main Street last Tuesday night, police said.
• A West Main Street man told police that an unknown person tried to withdraw $2,250 from his bank account last Thursday, police said.
• Stephanie Cost and Stephen Warren were arrested on multiple drug-related charges last Thursday night at 104 21st Street in Wading River, police said. No additional information was available.
• Eric Lutz, age and address not disclosed, was arrested Friday afternoon at a Target store on Route 58 and charged with grand larceny and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Southampton Police have identified the man whose body was found in Riverside woods on September 1st.
Police said Adam Jackson, 39, was found by a man walking in the woods across from the Suffolk County Center around 11 a.m.
Suffolk County police patrol officers and detectives responded, as well as Suffolk County Crime Scene, Homicide and Medical Examiner’s Office personnel, police said. Officers said they do not suspect any criminal activity.

• A Medford woman was arrested for driving under the influence Saturday on Lake Avenue in Riverside, police said.
At approximately 1:41 a.m., a police officer stopped a 2019 Dodge for failing to maintain its lane of travel. It was later determined that the driver, Dennis Priceman, 52, was intoxicated. She was arrested and charged with her first offense DWI, misdemeanor larceny, and various traffic violations. She was processed at Southampton Police Headquarters and taken into custody for her arraignment.
Priceman was arraigned the next morning in Southampton Municipal Court and released on his own recognizance.
The people named in the police report have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or dropped, or they may be found not guilty.
